In a recent interview, Aanchal Khurana claimed that Shehnaaz Gill and her brother Shehbaaz are not as funny as they appear on screen but are rude and ill‑mannered in real life. She stated that although Shehnaaz is portrayed as a cute and bubbly girl, her real personality is quite different—cunning and self‑obsessed. Aanchal added that during her eight‑month stay in Punjab, she learned about Shehnaaz’s past, which she described as unpleasant. According to Aanchal, Shehnaaz’s PR team has carefully crafted a sweet public image that doesn’t reflect reality.
Aanchal also shared that she had a negative experience with Shehbaaz on the sets of Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, where they had a heated argument that was edited out of the show. She alleged that the editors highlighted only Shehnaaz’s positive side while portraying her as the villain. Aanchal further mentioned that although Shehbaaz acts like a funny personality on camera, he is rude and ill‑mannered off‑screen.
Aanchal, who won MTV Roadies, recalled that Shehbaaz mocked her achievement, saying, “Who even watches Roadies?” During their argument, Aanchal called him Phuddu—meaning “stupid”—but Shehbaaz misunderstood it as an insult and created a scene. She claimed that the editors trimmed his offensive remarks and made her look bad.
While Shehnaaz’s fans continue to support her, some viewers have revisited her past controversies. Aanchal pointed out that Shehnaaz once mocked Himanshi Khurana’s Punjabi song I Like It, calling it the worst song she had heard, and even body‑shamed Himanshi by calling her overweight. Aanchal alleged that Shehnaaz’s PR team again edited those clips to maintain her positive image.
When Shehnaaz entered Bigg Boss 13, audiences adored her bond with Sidharth Shukla. Even now, her PR team reportedly tries to sustain that emotional narrative by portraying that she still misses him and keeps his photo as her phone wallpaper.
