What is the controversy between Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta?

Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta share one of the most controversial rivalries in Indian television. During Shilpa's stint as Angoori Bhabhi in the hit sitcom Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, Vikas Gupta was serving as the programming head of the channel. After Shilpa's exit from the show, she publicly alleged that Vikas played a key role in her removal and was responsible for getting her blacklisted in the television industry. She also accused him of influencing the channel to portray her in a negative light.

Their feud reached a whole new level when both entered Bigg Boss 11. Throughout the season, the two frequently clashed, exchanging serious allegations, heated arguments, personal insults, and accusations that kept viewers hooked. Their bitter rivalry became one of the biggest talking points of the season.

Now, years later, the two may once again come face-to-face on Lock Upp Season 2. According to reports and ongoing speculation, Vikas Gupta is expected to enter the show as a special guest. While there has been no official confirmation yet, fans are eagerly waiting to see whether this much-talked-about reunion will reignite their old rivalry. All eyes are now on Shilpa Shinde's reaction if Vikas indeed walks into the Lock Upp house.

"We have to compromise to get better chances" - Akanksha Chamola

Television actress Akanksha Chamola recently opened up about the issue of the casting couch in the entertainment industry. She clarified that not everyone in the industry is involved in such practices and that many artists do receive opportunities purely based on their talent. However, she added that newcomers who lack a strong backing or a "godfather" in the industry and are eager to secure more opportunities may sometimes face unethical demands.

According to Akanksha, such conversations are often very direct. She claimed that after an audition, aspiring actors may be handed contract papers but are also bluntly told that they are expected to provide personal favors to a particular individual if they want the role. If they agree, they are offered the opportunity; if they refuse, they risk losing it. She emphasized that the final decision always rests with the artist, who must choose whether or not to accept such demands.
